Boys Volleyball Looks to the Future

After finishing this year’s season with a 3-3 City League record and losing to Obama in the championship match on May 16th, Allderdice’s boys volleyball team looks to improve and focus on next year’s goal of attaining a championship title.

Girls’ Ultimate Season Wrap Up

The Northeastern Tournament, which took place the weekend of May 11th in Massachusetts, proved to be a test for the Dice Girls’ Ultimate Frisbee team. Undefeated in the Pittsburgh High School Ultimate League (PHUL), they had swept aside all competition prior to that weekend. They were confident going into the tournament.

Track and Field

Boys’ and girls’ Track and Field both finished first at City Championships on May 19. Led by Biology Teacher and Coach Ed Flynn, the boys earned 220 points, double the amount of the second place winner.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are a premier franchise. The captain, Sidney Crosby is the best hockey player in the world. Last January Crosby had an unfortunate concussion that took him out of the game for 10 months. The National Hockey League had been waiting for his arrival, and it finally showed up.
