Here Come the Lady Dragons!

It’s time for another exciting season of Allderdice Lady Dragons basketball. These girls are looking to get ready once again for the 2011-2012 basketball season.

Where is Pittsburgh’s NBA Team?

The year of 2011 has marked the 39th anniversary of the absence of a legitimate professional basketball team in the Pittsburgh area (I’m sorry Pittsburgh Xplosion).

Hawk-D: More Than Just A Defense

“Go Hawk-D, Go Hawk-D Go”! This is what you hear at every Allderdice basketball game, home or away. When you hear this, you automatically know “them Hawk-D boys are in the building.”

Boys’ Basketball Preview: Do You Believe That They Will Win?

It’s been 263 days since the Allderdice gym floors were shaking with the loudness and intensity of a ‘Dice home basketball game; it’s been 252 days since the Allderdice hallways were bustling with the excitement and enthusiasm of the ‘Dice basketball season, it’s been 364 days since an article, full of hope and anticipation, highlighted the upcoming Allderdice boys’ basketball team. However, it’s time; so put the cap back on your markers and take down your calendars because Hawk-D basketball is back.

Small Victories Do Go Unnoticed

Allderdice sports have been party to a staggering trend in the past five or so years: the most consistently successful teams (with soccer being an exception) are the ones… that nobody cares about?
